Meet Elijah. As a sixteen-year-old scholarship kid from the `burbs, he understands what a great opportunity Mount Olivier is, and he intends to milk it for all of its worth at the expense of his sanity and the sanity of those around him. Eli is completely convinced that attending a prestigious prep school is a gift of the highest caliber, and it pisses him off that others take it for granted. An over-achiever when it comes to academics, Eli is almost impossible to work with unless one is as motivated as he is. He holds high standards not only for himself but anyone who could affect his performance. On the rare occasions that Elijah is relaxed and not planning for his future, he enjoys stuffing his face with food and liking what would be considered normal for a nerd (comic books, reading, debates ect.). However, while some may immediately categorize Elijah a irritating albeit harmless nerd, Eli harbors some weird obsessions that are less innocent. Ever hear that it's the quiet ones you need to watch out for? Well, that may be the case with Elijah. He has a thing for enjoying other people's misfortune, whether it's laughing as a "royal" girl goes sprawling down the stairs or a slacker kid who fails a test. Though he doesn't plan on ruining lives himself (unless he does so passively), he wouldn't mind letting someone hurt even if he could have prevented it. More info here.

friends. Eli isn't exactly a high-maintenance friend. As long as they are there to discuss interesting things every once in a while, he doesn't require them to be by his side. This being said, one shouldn't assume that being Elijah's friend will be easy. He's a naturally cold person when it comes to emotions, and he is more likely to listen to a person's personal problems with cold indifference than with anything similar to sympathy. A person getting close enough to Eli for him not to view their friendship as easily replaceable is rare. Requirement include shared intelligence, interests, and ambition. Finally, it would be great if Eli could befriend someone that knocks him down a tack or someone that could share his more morbid interests.
enemies. Eli generally views every royal or jock guy as a distant enemy. Often times though, he doesn't muster up the energy to do anything to his enemies. He much prefers watching from afar and quietly laughing when their lives grow miserable. Eli dislikes a lot of people (slackers damn it!), but not to the degree where he makes a big deal of it. When people really do get on his bad side, he takes it out in his mind through imaginary sequences of killing his enemy in violent ways and such. So for now at least, those that confront Eli won't get any worse than a few sarcastic comments and irritated glares.
lovers. Elijah likes girls, sure but probably not in the most romantic way. For Eli, girls are separated into those that he'd like to have sex with (but probably never will) and those that he can actually have a conversation with. Very rarely does he meet a girl that he would equally like to talk to and have a sexual relationship with. Too much emotional input on his part. As far as any adolescence experimenting goes with his own sex, he does have a homoerotic hero-worship like view on older men that he admires (mostly scientists and the likes). As of right now, I'm unsure of where that will go (if anywhere).
others. Don't be shy! I'm pretty much up for any plotting that you may have to offer, and I'd be glad to work something out.

Potential to be very good buddies, especially when Ash isn't afraid to back down from a fight, and doesn't really mind a cold person. He's no slacker, and deadly smart. Thoughts?

Allen x Elijah
Just distant friends, as Allen isn't much for his words. Elijah might just mistake him for another slacker, and this might strain their relationship. Allen can be considered as a enemy even. Though I'd like to point out he's pansexual if you wanna go down that road.

Blake x Elijah
Blake and Elijah could be a lot of things. They could be enemies because Blake's sharp tongue and lack of motivation, friends because Blake can take him down a notch and doesn't want to get emotions very much involved with friends, or lastly a potential love interest mostly because she's more likely to sleep with someone then have a relationship with.

Ash//I do think they would make pretty good friends, though not extremely close seeing that Ash is only a sophomore. He doesn't dislike under-classmen, but since Eli doesn't seek people out often, his close friends are usually those that he is naturally near a lot due to similar schedules/classes. That most likely wouldn't be the case with Ash. He wouldn't automatically search for Ash if he was looking for human contact, but if they are ever in an activity together he wouldn't mind partnering up with him. Add/Shorten/Delete?

Allen//Yes, I agree. Distant friends bordering on indifferent acquaintances. I don't see a lot of things that they have in similar, but I don't think Eli would take the energy to dislike him. As for the sexuality thing, I don't think Elijah would go for someone like him. Not old enough and not "classy" enough in his mind. What do you think?

Blake// Now this could be interesting. While Eli and her are not in the same grade, I think he would have heard of her by delighting in stories about her fall from popularity. He'd probably watch her to laugh at her misery, but would be put off by the fact that she's not just a depressed and whiny teen now. He wouldn't approach her on purpose, but we could work out a chance meeting that would set off things. After that, there are tons of good plotting possibilities. Eli would grudgingly respect her for not being the mascara-stained girl he thought she'd be, but her lack of motivation would still annoy him. This could either lead to something like a like (love is too strong)/hate relationship or a fullblown dislike that is made worse due to the fact that Blake isn't as easy as Eli would like to shove beneath him. As for a sexual relationship, I think it would be fun if there was some sexual tension for whatever relationship we put them in (like enemies or sometimes friends with benefits), but I think it would need to end there. I don't think I could see anything truly romantic here. Your thoughts?

That's true, since there is a age difference. I would say that maybe they could share the same cliche, but not exactly in their close inner circles. Ash normally stays out of other people's business, but can be sought out for hanging out or doing some fun.

Since they don't have anything in common, maybe strangers are the best route for now. There social circles are completely different, also adding to him being a Sophomore. There's much to say here.

Blake x Elijah
I could see them starting out to be some sort of enemies, but seeing as Blake gets bored easily could spend time wasting it around him, most likely to mess with him and criticize him in some way, it could lead to something else? Over time the sexual tension could make them friends with benefits, but maybe a bit of roller coaster thing going on. I would say chance meeting would be best, but they could have heard about each other before, since Blake used to be a royal she did get most of the gossip. Since Elijah may expect this stereotype of a royal girl Blake would do her hardest to prove him wrong. This does have a lot of plotting opportunities. We can do a lot with them.
